The Story Behind Dribble Shoot Swish
The name started with a simple moment in a basement.
When my daughter was four years old, we were playing together downstairs. I picked up a basketball and walked her through it step by step “Dribble. Shoot. Swish.” watching her eyes follow every move.
By the time we were done, she was imitating me. Pretending to shoot. Holding her follow-through like she’d been doing it her whole life.
That moment stuck. Not because it was about basketball but because of what it meant. A father and daughter, sharing something that mattered. Passing something on. Creating a memory out of nothing but a ball and a little time together.
That simple exchange in a basement is where Dribble Shoot Swish began.
What started with a basketball and a four-year-old has grown into something much bigger a vision for a brand built around the game, positive experiences, personal development, and real community impact.

Built from the Game
DSS wasn’t built in a boardroom. It was built from decades spent inside basketball playing it, coaching it, teaching it, working camps, clinics, tournaments, and events, and operating on the business side of the sport.
Basketball has been the common thread through all of it. The experiences. The relationships. The mentors. The lessons. The opportunities that came from showing up, putting in the work, and caring about the game and the people in it.
DSS was created to take all of that and put it to work to use basketball as a vehicle to positively impact youth and communities in a way that actually lasts.
